FOREST SURVEILLANCE
Alongside our partners, you can make a difference by supporting the Forest Surveillance Program.
The Xingu Territory and its people are threatened by illegal fishing, hunting, logging, fires and agro-chemicals used in neighboring farms.
The Aritana Institute is assisting in the monitoring of the forest to prevent further degradation through wild fires and other threats to its biodiversity.
AFV assists regularly local communities through the provision of firefighter equipment, such as protective gear (helmets, gloves and similar). AFV seeks also to provide training to improve response time to uncrolled wild-fires.
